Job summary

Pattern is seeking a Director of Beauty to own the end-to-end strategic vision for Beauty brands, directing planning, forecasting, and inventory strategy with the wider organization. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Lehi, Utah, with leadership of Associate Directors and Managers driving data-led decisions to optimize inventory health and revenue.

You will influence buy strategy, negotiate with partners, and align with Finance and Brand Growth leadership to hit aggressive growth targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field.
• Significant experience leading merchandising, buying, or inventory planning within Beauty.
• Proven track record owning P&L-level outcomes tied to inventory, margin, and revenue.
• Outstanding analytical and data management skills; translate data into exec decisions.
• Strong track record building and scaling high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership.
• High ethical standards; management consulting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for end-to-end planning, forecasting, and inventory across beauty brands.
• Own category intake strategy at portfolio level, optimizing in-stock performance.
• Translate forecast deviations into decisive action and mitigation plans.
• Shape segmented assortment strategy using quantitative market analysis.
• Manage executive relationships with brand partners; lead buy/sell discussions.
• Set trading lever strategy including swaps, returns, and promotions.
• Lead annual, quarterly, and weekly budget setting with Finance and Growth leaders.
• Oversee onboarding of new partners with data-led forecasting and buying strategies.
• Drive operational excellence and sponsor innovation projects for margin gains.
• Represent Beauty to senior leadership in reviews and portfolio discussions.
• Build and lead a team of Associate Directors and Managers; grow talent.
