The ideal candidate has a proven track record in luxury hotels or high-volume banquet settings, with strong leadership, budgeting, and cross-department collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Director of Banquets, Assistant Director of Banquets, or in a senior banquet leadership role.
• Experience managing complex events and high-volume banquet operations.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to develop and motivate large teams.
• Excellent financial acumen, including budgeting, labour management, and cost control.
• A strong understanding of luxury service standards and guest experience.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the events calendar.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all banquet operations, including weddings, corporate events, social functions, and large-scale gatherings.
• Lead, develop, and motivate banquet management teams and service staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Ensure seamless event execution, from initial planning and coordination through to final service delivery.
• Collaborate with Sales, Catering, Culinary, Food & Beverage, and other departments to deliver outstanding events.
• Manage departmental budgets, labour costs, forecasting, inventory, and overall financial performance.
• Establish and maintain high service standards, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction across all events.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management to ensure operational efficiency.
• Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring event requirements are consistently met.
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, operational processes, and departmental profitability.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hospitality standards.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $120,000-140,000 USD, depending on experience.
