Job summary

Composite Energy Technologies Inc in Rhode Island is seeking a Director of Software and Autonomy to lead the design, development, testing and deployment of CET’s software systems for the UUV family. You will drive mission capable vehicle-level integrations and socialize software strategy across quoting, planning and engineering activities.

Responsibilities include leading software integration, defining the autonomy strategy, and overseeing test programs, demonstrations and training.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software or Electrical Engineering (MS+ preferred).
7–10+ years of professional software systems experience.
Passion for autonomy and software.
Ability to manage multi-program deliverable priorities to meet milestones.
Experience with underwater robotics/electronics.
US Citizenship.

Responsibilities

Lead software integration of systems, processes, interconnections, and methodologies to ensure the performance of the total system.
Create and socialize the autonomy strategy and maturity model in collaboration with CTO and engineering leadership.
Lead development, operation, and maintenance for testing and mission demonstration of marine vehicles.
Oversee vehicle behavior and mission implementation for demonstrations, including travel to events.
Provide engineering leadership on 3rd party autonomy solutions (MOAA, PCX, Open UUV).
Develop test strategies, procedures and reports; train CET or customer personnel for safe operation.
