GAF is seeking a Director of Automation and Control Systems to oversee the Automation & Controls team, partnering with engineering to drive innovation and manufacturing optimization. The role shapes capital planning and ensures alignment with strategic initiatives while maintaining strong operational support for production facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing.
• Experience leading Automation & Controls projects across multiple locations.
• Proven experience leading a team indirectly or directly.
• Proven ability to build relationships and partnerships.
• Working knowledge of CAD, HMI, PLCs, G-Suite, and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage all functions of Automation and Controls group.
• Ensure strategic contribution to the facilities' capital plans.
• Collaborate with IT, Process Services, R&D and others to integrate automation.
• Oversee budgets and financial reporting for the team.
• Guide project implementation from development to deployment.
• Promote safety and continuous education within the team.
