Job summary

KBR Consultancy seeks a commercially minded leader to establish and grow its Asset Management & Optimization practice in Houston. You will guide strategy, client engagement, and delivery to maximise asset value across the lifecycle for energy and industrial clients.

Based in Houston and reporting to the Sr. Regional Director, you will lead cross-disciplinary engagements across asset strategy, RAM, operations optimization, and digital asset performance, building high-value offerings and growing a

Qualifications

• Typically 15+ years of relevant experience in asset management, reliability, operations, or energy/industrial consulting.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering; MBA or business qualification preferred.
• Proven success in consulting business development and client relationship management.
• Experience leading complex, multidisciplinary engagements and translating findings into commercial recommendations.
• Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, operating performance, reliability, and lifecycle economics.
• Demonstrated ability to develop service offerings and grow client accounts profitably.
• Executive communication, commercial judgment, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in energy, oil & gas, power, refining & chemicals, LNG, infrastructure, or asset-intensive industries preferred.
• Client relationships in the Americas region; experience with digital asset performance/analytics is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the practice growth strategy, including target markets and revenue pipeline.
• Build differentiated, value-based consulting solutions addressing client priorities.
• Develop senior client relationships across energy and industrial sectors.
• Lead opportunity development, proposals, commercial negotiations, and account growth.
• Translate technical challenges into quantified business value and client propositions.
• Lead multidisciplinary engagements across asset strategy, RAM, operations optimization, maintenance, and digital asset performance.
• Ensure engagements deliver measurable improvements in safety, uptime, throughput, and asset value.
• Manage engagement scope, staffing, budgets, quality, and profitability.
• Build and develop a high-performing team of consultants and technical specialists.
• Collaborate across engineering, technology, and project delivery to provide integrated solutions.
