Qualifications

• Must affirm and uphold the Preamble of Houston Christian University and the Ten Pillars Core Convictions.
• Active Christian faith with local church membership and involvement.
• Master’s degree required.
• Prior experience in higher education or other settings with legal compliance reporting preferred.
• Familiarity with accrediting bodies and standards preferred.
• Adept at multitasking and managing concurrent projects while accurately attending to detail and meeting tight deadlines.
• Excellent and precise oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Skills in qualitative and quantitative research and analysis.
• Capabilities in project management and improving business processes.
• Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive/SharePoint, and other office apps.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work with Deans, Executive Council, and senior leadership across all divisions.
• Be available for some night and weekend programming.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the University's comprehensive institutional assessment, planning, and quality improvement processes.
• In collaboration with College/School leadership, assist with specialized programmatic accreditation and support self-studies and visits.
• Manage drafting of accreditation narratives and evidence for all university accreditors.
• Coordinate scheduling and submissions related to institutional reports and program reviews.
• Oversee reporting portals and rosters as required by accreditors; manage the institutional assessment system.
• Support data visualization and reporting for decision-making and presentations.
• Guide internal program reviews and coordinate evaluations with Provost’s Office.
• Collaborate with Academic Affairs Committee to implement policy changes.
• Maintain Academic Handbook and assist in policy implementation.
• Lead short- and long-term projects for Provost Office initiatives.
• Serve on university committees and perform additional duties as assigned.
