Amazon Connect is seeking a Director of Applied Science to define and execute a unified AI strategy across self-service, agent, and manager workloads. You will lead an existing applied science team and coordinate with data integrations engineers as needed.

The role requires building cross-team collaborations within AWS with Bedrock, AGI, Q, and Transcribe, while shaping investments across Connect service areas and leadership.

Qualifications

• MS in CS, Machine Learning, Statistics, Operations Research or similar.
• 10 years of hands-on experience in predictive modeling and large data analysis.
• Strong ML breadth and depth.
• Strong skills with SQL.
• Strong skills with Spark/Python/Perl (or similar).
• Communication and data presentation skill.
• Strong problem-solving ability.

Responsabilités

• Propose and deliver an organizational plan aligned to a unified science strategy.
• Lead cross-AWS science collaboration with Bedrock, AGI, Q, and Transcribe organizations.
• Inherit and possibly expand applied science team; collaborate across Connect service teams.
