Job summary

Amazon Connect seeks a Sr. Applied Scientist to research and develop Agentic AI technology, leveraging generative AI and LLMs.

You will distill insights from large datasets, prototype rapidly using PyTorch and AWS services like Bedrock and SageMaker, and collaborate across teams to deploy robust agentic systems. Responsibilities include defining evaluation harnesses, online experiments, and metrics that link model quality to customer outcomes, with a strong academic background and industry ML/DL

Qualifications

• 5+ years of building machine learning models for business applications.
• PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Demonstrated experience with generative AI and LLMs - fine-tuning, prompting, retrieval, or post-training.

Responsibilities

• Distill insight from large data sets and conduct cutting-edge research.
• Develop science solutions from conception to deployment.
• Define offline evaluation harnesses and online experiments to prove agentic systems improve customer outcomes.
• Converge on trustworthy metrics that tie model quality to outcomes.
