Job summary

North is seeking a Director of Applied AI Engineering to build and lead a hands-on team that moves AI from prototype to production within regulated financial services workflows.

The role partners with Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Risk to ensure explainability, auditable governance, and production-grade reliability. A strong software foundation and leadership are essential for rapid value delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering, ML, or related domain; customer-facing or embedded engineering exposure.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing Applied AI engineering team with defined operating model and standards.
• Partner with Product, customers, and stakeholders to observe workflows and turn challenges into AI solutions.
• Drive rapid discovery, prototyping, and production transitions of AI capabilities across enterprise projects.
• Architect, deploy, and maintain production AI solutions including agentic workflows, chatbots, copilots, and ML models.
