Job summary
Pfizer is seeking a hands-on software engineer to own delivery for the Medical Affairs AI Acceleration portfolio. This deeply technical, individual-contributor role turns solution architecture and product requirements into production-grade AI systems, designing components and shipping code to production.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Engineering, you will work across solution architecture, data integration, product management, and UX to translate requirements into working software,
Qualifications
- 8+ years hands-on software engineering across the full stack.
- Experience integrating AI/ML or LLM-based capabilities into production systems.
- Experience delivering prototypes via production-grade, scalable systems.
- Strong cloud experience (AWS or Azure) and API-first design.
- Proficient in CI/CD and Agile/Scrum delivery processes.
- Clear technical documentation and code-review discipline.
- Expertise designing LLM prompts and agent/workflows for efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Build, test, and ship production-grade software across the stack.
- Integrate AI/LLM capabilities and RAG pipelines into products.
- Take prototypes/MVPs to production-grade systems with quality gates.
- Document APIs and system design decisions clearly and consistently.
- Collaborate with Solution Architecture, Data Integration, Product Management, and UX.
