Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Director of Software Engineering - Secure Web Platform within the Digital Channels team. You will lead a technical area, drive strategy, and oversee delivery across departments.

You will guide AI-enabled engineering initiatives, set SDLC governance, ensure security, resiliency, and quality while collaborating with product, technology, and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
  • 10+ years applied software engineering experience; 5+ years leading technologists.
  • Experience developing cross-functional teams of technologists.
  • Experience leading adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices with governance.
  • Strong understanding of responsible AI, data sensitivity, and security.
  • Practical cloud-native experience.

Responsibilities

  • Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives.
  • Accountable for decisions that influence resources, budget, operations and processes.
  • Sets direction and governance for AI-enabled engineering and SDLC automation across a technical area.
  • Applies SDLC tools to improve automation value and scalability.
  • Governance of coding decisions, cost of ownership and portfolio operations.
  • Delivers technical solutions usable across multiple businesses and domains.
  • Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams.
