Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Director, Software Quality Assurance Engineering to lead the software quality strategy for the Fire Solutions Business Unit. You will guide global QA teams, define governance, and drive quality across embedded, firmware, cloud, mobile, web, and IoT solutions.

The role emphasizes AI-driven quality engineering, test automation, and CI/CD integration with a focus on safety-critical products, travel to global R&D sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 15+ years of Software Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading managers and globally distributed quality engineering teams.
• Experience developing and executing quality strategies for complex product organizations.
• Proven success driving test automation, process improvement, and quality transformation initiatives.
• Experience in Agile, DevOps, SDLC, and CI/CD environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the software quality strategy for the Fire Solutions Business Unit.
• Lead and develop global Software Quality Assurance teams across multiple locations.
• Evolve quality standards, processes, tools, and governance across product development organizations.
