Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Director of Software Quality Assurance Engineering to lead the quality strategy for the Fire Solutions Business Unit. You will oversee global QA teams across embedded, cloud, mobile, and web platforms, advancing AI-driven testing, automation, and Digital Twin concepts.

You will drive quality across the lifecycle, partner with DevOps on CI/CD, and shape governance and metrics for continuous improvement, with travel to global R&D sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering or related field.
• Master's degree preferred for senior leadership roles.
• 15+ years of Software Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading managers and globally distributed teams.
• Experience in Agile, DevOps, SDLC, and CI/CD environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the software quality strategy for the Fire Solutions Business Unit.
• Lead and develop global Software Quality Assurance teams across multiple locations.
• Evolve quality standards, processes, tools, and governance across product development organizations.
• Drive AI-driven quality engineering capabilities and test automation strategies across multiple platforms.
• Partner with DevOps to integrate quality practices within CI/CD pipelines.
