Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Director of Software Quality Assurance Engineering to lead the quality strategy across Fire Solutions, overseeing embedded, cloud, mobile, web, and connected products. You will head global QA teams, manage labs, and drive AI-enabled testing and automation across the product lifecycle.

The role requires strategic leadership, deep QA expertise, and the ability to transform processes while collaborating with Development, DevOps, and product teams.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in Software Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.
• 5+ years leading managers and globally distributed quality engineering teams.
• Experience developing and executing quality strategies for complex product organizations.
• Proven success driving test automation, process improvement, and quality transformation initiatives.
• Experience in Agile, DevOps, SDLC, and CI/CD environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the software quality strategy for the Fire Solutions Business Unit.
• Lead and develop global Software Quality Assurance teams across multiple locations.
• Evolve quality standards, processes, tools, and governance across product development organizations.
• Drive adoption of AI-driven quality engineering capabilities and test automation across platforms.
• Lead release readiness reviews and quality governance activities.
