Wolters Kluwer seeks a Director of Product Software Engineering - AI to lead strategy, development, and delivery of AI-powered software solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. You will lead multiple engineering teams, shape architecture, and partner with Product, Architecture, and business stakeholders to scale innovative platforms.

The role emphasizes customer-centricity, executive communication, and transforming engineering practices with cloud, automation, and AI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with progressive leadership responsibility.
• 5+ years leading engineering managers and multiple software teams.
• Experience delivering cloud-native software products on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of modern software architecture, APIs, DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and Agile delivery.
• Experience leading teams building AI-enabled products.
• Familiarity with LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, and AI governance.
• Experience using AI development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.).
• Customer-centric product development and co-design experience.
• Experience driving engineering strategy and execution within a matrixed enterprise.

Responsabilités

• Define and execute the engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap for Firm Intelligence products and platforms.
• Lead multiple engineering teams and managers, ensuring alignment with business objectives and product strategy.
• Drive organizational transformation through modern engineering, cloud, automation, and AI capabilities.
• Establish engineering standards, development frameworks, and best practices that improve quality, speed, and scalability.
• Champion the adoption of AI-enabled software development and intelligent product capabilities.
• Partner with Product Management to identify opportunities where AI and analytics create customer value.
• Guide architectural decisions involving cloud-native apps, APIs, and AI-powered solutions.
• Foster a culture of experimentation, rapid learning, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with customers, product leaders, and stakeholders to translate challenges into tech solutions.
• Ensure teams focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
• Use data and metrics to drive product decisions and investments.
• Build and retain high-performing engineering leaders and teams.
• Coach managers and senior engineers through mentorship and career development.
• Create an inclusive culture that encourages innovation and accountability.
• Manage budgets, resource planning, and priorities.
