Job summary

Benesch in Cleveland seeks a Director of Knowledge Management to build and scale a modern, AI-enabled KM function reporting to the C-Suites. You will steward knowledge curation, governance, and practice workflows, partnering across Practice Groups, Risk, IT, Marketing, and Finance to deliver tangible client-ready insights.

This hands-on leadership role requires eight+ years in legal KM, and a JD is highly preferred; you will lead a growing team and drive adoption of new technologies and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; JD strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in legal knowledge management or related field.
• Experience launching knowledge assets in a mature KM practice.

Responsibilities

• Launch and scale the Firm's Knowledge Management function as a senior leader.
• Collaborate with Practice Groups, IT, Risk, and Governance to align KM with business priorities.
• Define governance, taxonomy, and lifecycle for knowledge assets.
• Partner with Practice Group leaders to ensure ready access to precedents and institutional knowledge.
• Support client proposals and pitches with knowledge assets and experience data.
