Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering with 8+ years leading teams.
• Experience building core insurance platforms (policy admin, underwriting, billing).
• Strong cloud-native architecture and systems integration skills.
• Proven AI-led engineering experience with measurable gains.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering strategy and roadmap for Porch’s insurance platform.
• Lead delivery of the policy administration system and core platform components.
• Make AI-led engineering the default across teams and measure impact.
• Embed AI into underwriting, quoting, servicing, and agent tools with governance.
• Establish end-to-end execution processes for planning, release and compliance.
• Build compliance into the platform to meet regulatory requirements.
• Set KPIs for speed, reliability, quality and business value.
• Hire, coach and grow engineering managers and senior engineers.
• Manage vendors and partners to deliver results.
• Represent engineering to executives, partners and regulators.
