Job summary

Motive is seeking a Director of Developer Platform & Experience to own the end-to-end developer ecosystem, including developer experience, infrastructure, build and CI/CD systems, testing frameworks, and governance for AI-driven development.

The role spans North America, Europe, and Asia, across Rails, Go, mobile and embedded systems, with a mandate to speed up delivery, increase confidence, and reduce friction for hundreds of engineers.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering and leadership.
• Deep DevOps and infrastructure depth: CI/CD, containers, IaC, cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with AI developer tooling and agent-based development.
• Experience leading distributed teams across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Translate AI-driven development into executable multi-year plans.
• Evaluate and roll out AI developer tools and internal scaffolding.
• Stand up LLM and agent evaluation practices with benchmarks and cost tracking.
• Own governance with Security, Legal, and Platform.
• Define adoption metrics and drive organizational enablement.
• Lead multi-team orgs and maintain cross-regional collaboration.
