Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP seeks a Head of AI Design to lead the design of AI-powered products that enable professionals to collaborate confidently with AI agents. This senior role shapes intuitive, trustworthy experiences emphasizing AI reasoning, evidence, and human oversight.

You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and SMEs to translate complex AI into practical, high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive product design experience, including AI-powered products.
• Portfolio demonstrating AI trust, transparency, and UX quality.
• Experience in human-AI interaction design, including AI reasoning and provenance.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers, PMs, and SMEs to deliver cross-functional products.
• Experience establishing scalable design standards and systems across products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design of AI-powered product experiences, from concepts to production launch.
• Define interaction principles and standards for AI reasoning, confidence indicators, and provenance.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and architecture to align requirements and UX.
• Engage with practitioners to research workflows and translate findings into design improvements.
• Develop lightweight design systems and reusable components for a growing AI product portfolio.
• Create feedback mechanisms for reviewing and improving AI outputs.
• Prototype and test with AI-assisted and agentic tools in real-world constraints.
• Provide design leadership and mentorship as the function grows.
• Support strategic initiatives to advance the firm’s AI product strategy.
