Job summary

Rose Associates seeks an experienced Director of Affordable Housing to lead our expanding portfolio, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver excellent resident service across diverse communities in New York. The role requires deep knowledge of LIHTC, Section 8, CityFHEPS, and related programs, plus strong leadership, financial acumen, and collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, Housing, Urban Planning, Psychology, or related field.
Minimum 7-10 years of affordable housing property management experience, including multi-site portfolio oversight.
Strong working knowledge of LIHTC, HOME, Project-Based Section 8, CityFHEPS, FHEPS, HASA, supportive housing, and related programs.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations of a diverse affordable housing portfolio and ensure regulatory compliance.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal affordable housing regulations including recertifications, leasing, occupancy, and reporting.
Coordinate compliance audits, management reviews, site inspections, and agency monitoring visits.
Collaborate with property managers to optimize operations and financial performance.
Develop and implement compliance controls and monitoring systems to mitigate risk and ensure audit readiness.
