Job summary

Dreams on Horseback seeks a Director of Advancement in Blacklick, OH to lead fundraising, donor engagement, and marketing efforts. The role collaborates with the Executive Director and Board to grow annual and major gifts, grants, sponsorships, and events, while guiding communications and brand messaging.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of proven fundraising experience across all areas of development.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Demonstrated success running annual and major gift campaigns via multiple donor channels.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to lead initiatives.
• Skilled at cultivating and expanding relationships in the community.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills; detail-oriented.
• Proficient with Google Suite and fundraising CRM, strong written & verbal communications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including annual and major gifts, grants, corporate giving and sponsorships.
• Lead major gift solicitations, solo or with the Executive Director/Board.
• Partner with leadership for capital campaigns and special initiatives.
• Oversee donor cultivation, stewardship, and research activities.
• Direct internal/external communications: social media, website content, newsletters, collateral, media relations.
• Manage the Advancement budget and team, analyze fundraising performance.
• Represent the organization at community events and board meetings.
