Job summary

Scion Staffing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Director of Admissions to lead the intake team and drive admissions strategy, operations, and client experience. You will report to the CEO and guide staff, optimize processes, and ensure compliant practices across the admissions lifecycle.

The role requires 5+ years in admissions within healthcare, strong leadership, and proven ability to improve conversion and census metrics while partnering with clinical and executive teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred in healthcare admin, psychology, social work, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years in admissions/intake within behavioral health or healthcare settings.
• At least 2 years in leadership or supervisory roles.
• Strong knowledge of treatment modalities and levels of care.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the admissions team, including intake specialists and coordinators.
• Develop strategies to support census growth and organizational goals.
• Oversee admissions from inquiry to final admission.
• Optimize call workflows, follow-ups, verifications, and CRM use.
• Monitor KPIs like conversion, census, and referral sources.
• Ensure after-hours coverage and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee financial documentation, verifications, payments, and related paperwork.
• Collaborate with clinical, operations, marketing, and executive leadership.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and retain admissions staff.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and client experience.
