Job summary

ADP is hiring a Director, Actuary for Health & Wealth Benefits to lead pricing and risk analytics across the portfolio. You will build pricing models, assess risk, and collaborate with data scientists and business teams to drive insights and value.

The role requires deep actuarial expertise, 12+ years, and strong communication skills. You may work remote or hybrid from Minnesota, with a focus on compliant, data-driven decisions that unlock growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or related field.
• At least 12+ years' actuary experience with health insurance domain.
• Knowledge of healthcare actuarial practice including pricing, reserving, forecasting.
• Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS) and analytics.
• Proficient in statistical modeling tools and programming languages (SQL, Python, MATLAB, R).

Responsibilities

• Conduct experience studies and derive actionable insights to improve subscriber outcomes.
• Analyze carrier cost ratios and identify improvement opportunities for new and existing clients.
• Develop benchmarks to assess performance and potential improvements.
• Prepare actuarial reports for senior leadership with clear recommendations.
• Partner with Data & Analytics teams to create roadmaps and execute projects in agile settings.
• Mentor junior team members within the matrix pod.
