Job summary

Fusion HCR is seeking a Director of Accounts Payable to lead the companywide AP function and the corporate travel & expense program. You will ensure accurate, timely, secure vendor payments and employee reimbursements while strengthening internal controls and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is required.
• Proven ability to lead accounts payable and travel & expense operations with strong internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise leadership for end-to-end AP operating model including invoice processing, approvals, control, and payment execution.
• Set and maintain AP policies and standards to promote accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
• Build AP capability through leadership development, succession planning, cross-training, and performance management.
• Own the AP control framework including vendor onboarding, approvals, segregation of duties, and anti-duplication controls.
• Oversee payment governance, timing, liquidity considerations, and discounts with Treasury and Accounting.
• Ensure timely close activities and accurate reconciliations, accruals, and analysis.
• Oversee AP-related tax compliance including 1099 reporting and sales/use tax coordination.
• Provide reporting to Finance leadership on performance, risks, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead roadmap for AP processes and technology improvements to increase automation.
• Serve as escalation point for vendor and stakeholder issues and ensure audit readiness.
