R+L Carriers seeks a Director of Accounts Payable to lead the companywide AP function and travel/expense programs. The role ensures accurate, timely payments, strong internal controls, and leadership for a high-volume AP team across the organization.

The incumbent will develop policies, drive process improvements, and partner with Treasury, Tax, and IT to optimize cash flow and reporting. A Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• At least 10 years in AP, travel and expense, or related finance operations.
• 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of AP and travel and expense processes, internal controls, financial close requirements, 1099 reporting, and sales/use tax considerations.
• Experience with AP systems and automation tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with leaders, vendors, auditors.

Aufgaben

• Lead end-to-end accounts payable operating model including invoice processing, approvals, exceptions, vendor service, and payments.
• Set and maintain AP policies, procedures, and service expectations.
• Develop AP organization through accountability, leadership development, and performance management.
• Own AP control framework including vendor onboarding, approvals, and segregation of duties.
• Oversee payment governance with Treasury and Accounting on timing, liquidity, terms, and discounts.
• Ensure AP activities support monthly/quarterly/annual close and review reconciliations and aging.
