Job summary

LHH in New York City is seeking a dynamic Director of SEC Reporting & technical Accounting to lead the financial reporting function. The role offers a competitive salary with benefits including a hybrid schedule and equity.

The successful candidate will own end-to-end SEC reporting and consolidated financial statements, guide complex accounting analyses, and drive improvements in internal controls with the SOX team. CPA with 10+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA.
• 10+ years of Financial Reporting experience including a Public Accounting foundation.
• 5+ years of Leadership.
• SEC Reporting, Technical Accounting and Consolidations experience.
• Exposure to Revenue Recognition, Debt & Equity Financing, and Equity Compensation.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end consolidated financial reporting and SEC reporting processes and be accountable for the quality, accuracy and timely completion of reporting deliverables.
• Lead the Financial Reporting team responsible for the day-to-day preparation of consolidated financial statements, footnotes, MD&A and other SEC reporting deliverables
• Lead accounting analysis for new and complex transactions, including debt and equity financings, convertible instruments, acquisitions, investments, leases, etc.
• Own oversight of equity compensation accounting and financial reporting, including unusual awards, modifications, ASC 718 matters, share-count and EPS considerations.
• Partner with Controller and SOX team to maintain appropriate internal controls over areas within the Director's responsibility and support remediation of identified deficiencies.

They are looking for a dynamic Director of SEC Reporting & technical Accounting to join their organization and lead the financial reporting function. $200,000 - $225,000 + 20% bonus + equity
