ADP is seeking a Director, Accounting Policy and External Reporting, a high‑visibility leadership role responsible for ensuring compliant, accurate external reporting and GAAP policies. You will partner with Finance, Legal, HR, Treasury, Tax, Investor Relations, and cross‑functional teams to guide complex transactions and disclosures.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in technical accounting and SEC reporting within a major public accounting firm and/or a large, multinational public company.
• CPA required and Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Strong executive communication and leadership in cross‑functional finance teams.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis to support external reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical accounting consultations on topics including revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, lease accounting, capitalized software, purchase accounting and other complex areas.
• Coordinate recurring technical accounting analyses for goodwill, segment reporting and related areas.
• Oversee stock-based compensation processes, including month-end close entries, disclosures and analytics.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, HR, Treasury, Tax, Investor Relations and others to assess implications of transactions on financial statements.
• Determine SEC disclosure requirements and coordinate SEC filings with senior management and external auditors.
