Job summary

Mission Staffing is seeking a seasoned accounting professional to join its finance group, shaping how complex transactions are researched, documented, and reported under U.S. GAAP.

The role collaborates with Finance, Treasury, Legal, Tax, and Operations to evaluate accounting implications of strategic initiatives, support quarterly and annual reporting, and assist with audits. Candidates bring 6+ years of experience, strong technical accounting knowledge, and excellent communication and project

Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting expertise, including U.S. GAAP.
• 6+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience partnering across Finance, Treasury, Legal, and Operations.
• Experience supporting financial reporting and audit processes.

Responsibilities

• Research, analyze, and document accounting conclusions for complex transactions under U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare and maintain accounting memoranda supporting technical positions.
• Monitor and help implement new accounting standards and regulatory guidance.
• Partner across Finance, Treasury, Legal, Tax, and Operations to evaluate accounting implications of strategic initiatives and new products.
• Support quarterly and annual financial reporting, including technical accounting disclosures.
• Assist with external audit requests and discussions on significant accounting matters.
• Develop and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and governance.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and mentorship within the Finance organization.
• Participate in special projects, including acquisitions and system implementations.
