Job summary

Deliveroo is seeking a Manager of Engineering for Accounting Infrastructure and Systems to lead scalable backend systems powering financial reporting. You will mentor engineers, drive automation, and partner with Finance to meet regulatory and operational needs.

You will shape the technical stack, improve data quality, and support faster close cycles in a high-stakes financial environment within a London-based Deliveroo contract, working with global teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data or software engineering experience with 2+ years in leadership.
• Hands-on with modern data infrastructure tools and platforms.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition, reconciliation and close workflows.
• Clear communicator able to align Finance, Accounting and Engineering.
• Experience with distributed systems and SOX-relevant controls.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategic roadmap and execution for accounting infrastructure and data pipelines.
• Partner with Accounting, Finance and cross-functional teams to translate requirements.
• Lead and mentor engineers, setting technical direction in a fast-moving environment.
• Improve data accuracy, pipeline reliability and system scalability for faster close.
