Job summary

Harmonic Finance Inc. is seeking a Director of Accounting to build scalable accounting infrastructure for a fast-growing energy-startup in LA.

The role owns the month-end close, general ledger, and reporting, and collaborates across Finance, Engineering, and Operations as the company scales manufacturing and deployment. The candidate will lead internal reporting, support external audits, and help implement ERP and other finance systems to enable rapid growth.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in high-growth technology, manufacturing, or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP with ownership of complex month-end close and reporting.
• Ability to build or improve scalable accounting processes and controls.
• Experience with modern ERP and accounting systems.
• Excellent communication to partner with Finance, Engineering and Operations.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve the month-end close process and related entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Maintain and develop the general ledger and accounting structure as the business scales.
• Prepare internal reports for leadership and support investor reporting.
• Support annual financial statements, audits, and interactions with tax/ADP advisers.
• Establish scalable policies and internal controls for a rapidly growing company.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and HR to improve data quality and flow.
• Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual workflows and scale accounting.
