Heron Power is a startup building cutting-edge power electronics for the 21st-century grid and is growing rapidly. We seek an Accounting Manager to scale the accounting function, ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting, and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.

The role owns AP, accruals, payroll, AR, revenue, fixed assets, inventory, and general ledger activities, partnering across the business to build scalable processes, controls, and automation in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with manager-level ownership in a high-growth or fast-changing environment.
• Strong U.S. GAAP understanding and ability to apply accounting principles to operations.
• Proven ability to design, document, and improve accounting processes and internal controls as complexity increases.
• Experience with ERP systems NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable, accruals, payroll, AR, revenue, fixed assets, inventory, and general ledger.
• Develop scalable processes, controls, and automation for a growing manufacturing environment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to provide accounting guidance on capex, opex, inventory, and manufacturing activities.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Leverage finance systems to improve close efficiency and reporting accuracy.
