Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Director of Order-to-Cash Assurance to ensure every order is priced, billed, collected, and recorded accurately. You’ll design pricing audits, drive root-cause fixes, and act as the compliance advocate for global O2C.

This role emphasizes accuracy as a design problem and collaboration with cross-functional teams. You’ll lead audit programs across the O2C lifecycle, define metrics, and partner with Billing, Revenue Accounting, Tax, and Legal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• CPA, CIA, CISA, or CRISC certification.
• Experience with SOX program readiness and public-company reporting requirements.
• Experience with global, multi-entity operations and statutory invoicing/tax considerations.
• Experience with consumption-based and subscription billing models through to collections.
• Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration across GTM, Finance, and Legal.

Responsibilities

• Design and run recurring audit programs across the O2C lifecycle, including pricing audits, contract-to-invoice accuracy, credits, refunds and concessions, and cash application.
• Define accuracy metrics with baselines and targets, such as pricing/invoice error rates, first-pass yield, rework, and revenue leakage.
• Trace findings to root cause and drive fixes with the owning team (process, system, or policy).
• Move from sampling to continuous, system-driven monitoring as volume grows.
• Partner with Order Management, AR, GTM, and Legal to publish guidance for accurate and compliant processes.
• Review new processes and contracts against policy and control requirements with clear decision rights and SLAs.
• Own O2C policies, control ownership, and segregation of duties.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit, external auditors, Revenue Accounting, Tax, and Legal to ensure smooth audit cycles.
• Perform independent reviews to preserve independence during month-end close.
• Create reusable process patterns and guardrails to harmonize globally.
