Orenda is seeking a proactive and analytical Director for NY Market Policy to shape market policy and advocate for clean energy transitions. This role involves monitoring ongoing policy matters and developing actionable strategies to meet state climate goals.

The position requires 7+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, deep knowledge of New York's energy market, and a relevant degree. A competitive compensation package is included, with salary expectations ranging from $100,000 to $200,000 annually.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in regulatory affairs, energy policy, or market development.
• Deep knowledge of the New York energy market including utility tariffs and infrastructure challenges.
• Experience from the solar, energy storage, or broader renewable sectors is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Proactively track regulatory, programmatic, and tariff changes across NYISO and state/city agencies.
• Build and maintain a structured tracking system for all active New York policy matters.
• Develop and execute advocacy strategies, including regulatory proposals and stakeholder outreach.
