Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. seeks a Nuclear New Design Engineering Director to lead the New Design Engineering organization, spanning Electrical, I&C, Mechanical, and Structural teams. This leadership role directs strategic direction, staffing, and execution across New Nuclear and Federal Nuclear programs.

The role requires 15+ years in engineering with 7+ years in leadership, nuclear design experience, and strong capability development and collaboration across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Nuclear or related engineering.
• PE license preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive engineering experience including nuclear design or related programs.
• 7+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams: Electrical, I&C, Mechanical, and Structural.
• Experience across conceptual to detailed design phases.
• Strong resource planning, recruitment, and capability development.
• Knowledge of nuclear design processes, QA, and design control.
• Ability to travel overnight as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the New Design Engineering organization.
• Establish engineering execution expectations, accountability, and performance metrics.
• Develop forward-looking resource and capacity plans across disciplines.
• Lead and mentor senior managers and build leadership pipeline.
• Recruit and develop capabilities to support New Nuclear and Federal Nuclear programs.
• Promote engineering excellence and continuous improvement practices.
• Collaborate with project leadership to align resources with priorities.
• Support proposal development, project estimating, and client engagements.
