Job summary

Novartis Group of Companies seeks a Therapeutic Area Strategy Director to shape neuroscience strategy, provide early commercial insights to project teams, and align functions across BR, S&G, and the Commercial US and International units.

You will benchmark external data, evaluate opportunities via M&A/BD&L, and guide asset shaping early in lifecycle, leveraging recent US in-market experience. Advanced degree preferred; pharma/med devices background valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences/healthcare; advanced degree (PhD/MD) or equivalent experience preferred.
• In-depth neuroscience TA knowledge or ability to acquire quickly.
• Experience evaluating new product opportunities via M&A, BD&L, or internal programs.
• 5+ years in pharma/medical devices R&D or commercial functions with primary research experience.
• Experience in strategy development and early lifecycle asset shaping.
• Recent US in-market experience working with US customers and healthcare systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop a holistic TA strategy for Neuroscience and benchmark external insights.
• Provide commercial insights to R&D teams for early phase programs.
• Support external licensing/ acquisitions opportunities and strategic upgrades.
• Guide internal pipeline development and enterprise alignment across BR, S&G, and commercial units.
• Analyze reports/publications and build product forecasts; commission targeted primary research.
