Job summary

The University of California, Berkeley is seeking a Program Director for the Native Community Center (NCC) to oversee day-to-day operations, logistics, and administration of a multi-use campus hub for Native American and Indigenous student communities.

Reporting to the Executive Director of NASD, this exempt, full-time role focuses on advising, program development, and collaborative partnerships to advance inclusive excellence across campus.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of community engagement practices and Native American communities.
• Knowledge of multicultural student development and leadership development.
• Experience using collaborative teaching/learning models and small group facilitation.
• Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
• Strong interpersonal and public communication skills.
• Experience with diverse student populations on campus.
• Familiarity with California Native Nations.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and personal development advising to students.
• Plan and implement programs promoting dialogue and social change.
• Coordinate events with student groups and manage staff.
• Publish NCC newsletters and publicity materials; assist funding proposals.
• Track and maintain NCC resources including pantry and supplies.
• Hire, train, and supervise student coordinators and interns.
• Facilitate collaborative group processes to support student success.
