Job summary

UES seeks a Director, National Retail & Chain Growth to expand and strengthen relationships with nationwide brands across retail, restaurants, convenience, grocery, and multi-location chains.

You will lead strategic business development, build executive-level partnerships, and identify opportunities to grow UES’s services and market share on a national scale. This role requires travel and a proven ability to translate complex engineering offerings into client value.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive business development experience, preferably in A/E/C or environmental consulting.
• Proven track record of building client relationships and securing contracts with national accounts.
• Deep understanding of sales cycles for professional services and proposal development.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic business development efforts across key markets while expanding opportunities in environmental engineering, geotechnical services, construction support, and infrastructure consulting.
• Build relationships with executives, developers, construction leaders, and other key stakeholders within national retail and chain organizations.
• Identify opportunities to expand UES services, geographic reach, and market share across existing and prospective accounts.
• Partner with operational, technical, and business leaders to deliver a coordinated experience for national clients.
• Represent UES at client meetings, industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to strengthen relationships and uncover new business opportunities.
• Monitor market trends and industry activity to help shape growth strategies and support informed business decisions.
• Develop account growth strategies that drive revenue and strengthen UES's position as a trusted national partner.
