Job summary

Per Scholas is seeking a Director to lead Digital Strategy & Applicant Experience and transform our national recruitment and admissions model. This role reports to the VP of National Recruitment, Applicant Process and Tech Integration and will steer a scalable, tech-enabled strategy across content, web, and applicant support to drive enrollment.

• Leadership & coaching: proven experience leading and mentoring a distributed or national team.
• Strategic operations: track record auditing and designing workflows to improve efficiency.
• Technical proficiency: experience with web CMS, automation (email/SMS), and CRM systems.
• Analytical mindset: ability to use performance data to inform strategy and decisions.
• Paid media & growth marketing: experience in media strategy, budgeting, testing and ROI decisions.
• Content & journey operations: govern multichannel content and automated applicant journeys.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Direction: own end-to-end campaign planning and creative direction.
• Efficiency & performance: monitor targets and reallocate investments based on results.
• Agency & campaign leadership: manage internal teams and external vendors and briefs.
• Capacity building: create repeatable processes to scale offerings without sacrificing speed, quality, or measurement.
• Learner-facing website & conversion: lead UX strategy to drive enrollment and optimize landing pages.
• Digital learner journey & process design: oversee applicant experience across paid media, website, email, SMS and support channels.
• Content governance & lifecycle management: set standards, approvals, accessibility, and asset inventory.
• Team leadership: coach and develop the Digital Strategy & Applicant Experience team; manage agency/vendor relationships.
• Cross-functional partnership: collaborate with stakeholders across functions for a unified operation.
• Service standards: oversee national support channels and replace inbox-based work with standardized processes.
• AI integration: deploy AI tools like chatbots to resolve routine inquiries.
