Job summary

Petro Star Inc. in Alaska is hiring a Director of Training and Development to lead standardized training across NPR and PSVR, designing, implementing, and sustaining programs for operations, maintenance and technical staff.

The role partners with site leadership, HSE and cross-functional teams to ensure OSHA/PSM compliance, build bench strength, and foster a strong safety culture, with regular travel between North Pole and Valdez.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Education, or related field preferred.
• Experience leading training, workforce development, or operations/maintenance teams.
• Strong understanding of refinery operations, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a standardized, multi-site training strategy across NPR and PSVR.
• Design and manage training programs for operations, maintenance, and technical personnel.
• Establish competency frameworks, qualification standards, and career progression paths.
• Oversee regulatory and compliance training to meet OSHA and PSM requirements.
• Lead onboarding and qualification processes for new employees at both sites.
