Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited is seeking an On-site OHST Coordinator to develop and maintain safety, health, and training programs, delivering MSHA/OSHA mandated training for employees, contractors, and visitors. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, site inspections, incident investigations, and continuous safety improvements across a remote Alaska campground operation.

The position requires collaboration with operations, regulatory agencies, and site leadership, with a rotating schedule

Qualifications

• Two years' college coursework in health and safety or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Trained as an Emergency Response Team member.
• Five years of progressive relevant work experience.
• Effective written, verbal, and communication skills to satisfy safety and training policies.
• Ability to pass a background check and post-offer physical.

Responsibilities

• Develops, delivers, and maintains occupational health and safety training programs to ensure compliance.
• Plans and delivers MSHA training, site inductions, and refresher training.
• Coordinates safety and health issues and reports; conducts inspections and risk assessments.
• Provides incident investigation reports and follows up on corrective actions.
• Supports emergency response planning and training exercises; maintains emergency systems.
