Job summary

University of California San Diego (UCSD) seeks an eminent neurologist to serve as Professor and Director of the Parkinson and Other Movement Disorders Center (POMDC). The role combines executive leadership with clinical care, teaching, and translational research across La Jolla and Hillcrest campuses.

The candidate will mentor junior faculty, guide patient care for movement disorders, and advance the program's philanthropic initiatives while maintaining national designations of excellence.

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD degree in a health-related field.
• Board certified or board eligible in Neurology.
• California medical license or equivalent certification/permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care to movement disorder patients.
• Mentor junior faculty, and teach graduate students, residents and fellows.
• Lead deployment of the POMDC's initiatives and donor stewardship program.
• Collaborate across UCSD's clinical, translational and basic science programs to advance research and patient care.
