Dark Matter Technologies is seeking a Director of Product & Regulatory Compliance Counsel to own the company’s compliance program and stay current with evolving mortgage regulations. This role translates regulatory requirements into product specs and acts as a primary resource for clients and internal teams on compliance issues in production.

The position is an individual contributor with high visibility across Product, Risk/Information Security, Account Management, and Legal, reporting to the

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and bar admission in the appropriate jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of mortgage compliance experience, including lender or mortgage tech exposure.
• Strong knowledge of federal mortgage regulations, GSE/agency guidelines, and state requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor federal, state, and investor regulatory changes and assess impact on products.
• Translate regulations into clear business and functional requirements for product/engineering teams.
• Own and improve the company’s compliance program, policies, risk assessments, and controls.
• Support SOC audits and client/regulator inquiries; coordinate responses with Risk, Security, and Legal.
• Deliver compliance training and communicate regulatory changes to clients through advisories and webinars.
