Job summary

ShipMonk is seeking a Director to lead Launch Operations and build the Ops CI function across multiple fulfillment centers. You will design intake processes, governance, and reporting, hiring and guiding a team of CI managers while driving targeted improvements and cost savings.

You will own a portfolio of projects spanning fulfillment, merchant onboarding and compliance, using Lean/Six Sigma to diagnose issues and implement lasting changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years in e-commerce fulfillment operations, inventory management, and process optimization, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing programs and projects.
• Strong leadership and team management with a proven track record of driving results.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights with tools like MS Excel, Google Sheets, Metabase, Tableau.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and translating them to operational processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across departments and levels.
• Lean program leadership and/or certification preferred.
• Wholesale/B2B fulfillment experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel 25-35% for multi-site engagement and on-site leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build & Lead the Ops CI Function across the network, including governance and reporting cadence.
• Hire, develop, and lead a team of Ops CI managers embedded across facilities.
• Set KPIs for CI outcomes: cost savings, throughput, speed, quality, and report to senior leadership.
• Drive cross-functional improvement projects in fulfillment operations, merchant onboarding, and compliance.
• Apply Lean/Six Sigma methods to diagnose root causes and implement lasting changes.
• Lead change management to ensure sustainable adoption and train operations leaders on CI best practices.
• Support merchant launches with thorough planning and oversight across teams.
• Develop dashboards and workflows in tools like Asana, Slack, Salesforce, and Google apps.
• Collaborate with Analytics to surface performance gaps and track trends across facilities.
• Provide on-site leadership development and mentorship to build a culture of continuous improvement.
