Job summary

University of Alabama at Birmingham seeks a Director for the Heersink School of Medicine, Medical Alumni Association within the Office of Advancement. The director develops engagement, communication, and event strategies to strengthen programs for alumni and student engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field.
• Minimum of five years of related experience; work experience may not substitute education.

Responsibilities

• Creates and develops programs to engage student and young alumni; manages related programming.
• Manages MAA social media and website content; supports publications and newsletters.
• Plans meetings, luncheons, dinners, receptions, and other events for alumni engagement.
• Represents MAA at events and coordinates Young Alumni programming and volunteers.
• Develops content for marketing materials and CME series; coordinates speaker engagements.
