Job summary

The University of Alabama at Birmingham seeks a Director for the Heersink School of Medicine, Medical Alumni Association within the Office of Advancement. The role develops and implements engagement, communication, and event strategies to strengthen alumni and student engagement, managing programs and events.

Reporting to the Senior Director, you will oversee student and young alumni programming, coordinate meetings and CME content, lead social media and publications, and build strong alumni

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field.
• Five years of related experience; education cannot be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop programs to engage student and young alumni; act as contact for young alumni/student programming.
• Manage MAA social media and website content; oversee publications and newsletters.
• Plan and coordinate meetings, luncheons, dinners, receptions, and other events; represent MAA at events.
• Lead alumni events and prepare updates for board meetings.
