Job summary

The University of Alabama at Birmingham seeks a Director of Development for the Heersink School of Medicine/UAB Medicine team. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business or related field and five years of related experience required.
• Two years major gift experience preferred.
• Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
• After-hours work and travel required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement programs to cultivate individuals, corporations and foundations for major gifts.
• Develop strategies with departments to manage cultivation and stewardship events.
• Collaborate with central services to align gift and records processes, prospect research, data management and communications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
