Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Medicaid CHIP Services Division seeks a Director of Medicaid Systems Modernization. This role provides leadership for Medicaid Enterprise Systems modernization, aligning IT strategy with program priorities and the agency roadmap.

You will drive change, manage vendors, and coordinate with HHSC IT and stakeholders to modernize Texas Medicaid systems. The position oversees a broad portfolio including Claims Management, EVV, Pharmacy Vendor Drug

Qualifications

• Experience with Medicaid MMIS or Medicaid Enterprise Systems Modularity.
• Strong background in architecture, integration, and IT solutions for government programs.
• Proven ability to manage multi-year, large-scale IT projects in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Develop a modernization strategy and plan for Medicaid-Managed Care Services.
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure business value from Medicaid technology projects.
• Oversee planning and implementation of technically complex modernization projects.
• Manage vendor and contractor activity for system modernization.
• Participate in procurements and develop related documentation.
