Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Austin, TX seeks a Systems Architect to guide the delivery of Medicaid/CHIP IT solutions. You will oversee vendor architecture, shape PI planning, and ensure alignment with agency standards.

The role requires 7+ years in system architecture, agile delivery, and strong collaboration with stakeholders. A SAFe background is preferred, and telework options are available for a portion of the time.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in system architecture or related field
• Experience in agile environments
• Knowledge of Medicaid/CHIP program domains
• Ability to coordinate across cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Oversees vendor architecture, enabler epics, and non-functional requirements
• Provides day-to-day management support to Delivery Product Managers
• Participates in PI planning, solution demos, and I&A events
• Analyzes risk factors and develops mitigation strategies
• Coordinates with stakeholders to ensure value delivery and adherence to standards
