Job summary

TFS, Ltd. is seeking a Director, Equipment Application & Fleet Solutions to serve as the internal expert on material handling equipment selection and application analysis.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with material handling equipment in a dealer, OEM, or large end‑user fleet environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, related field or equivalent.
• Proven experience in application engineering, fleet consulting, or equipment sales engineering.
• Deep working knowledge of MHE classes I through VII, warehouse operations, facility layouts.
• Willingness to travel 60% or more, including overnight travel.
• Strong analytical skills with Excel, fleet management platforms, and customer data.
• Ability to translate technical information into clear business conversations.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to fly domestically.
• Familiarity with AGV/AMR, lithium‑ion power, WMS, and emerging fleet tech.
• Six Sigma, Lean, industrial engineering, equipment leasing or finance experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site application analyses at customer facilities for material handling equipment.
• Gather facility data via measurements, photos, and telematics to support fleet recommendations.
• Present findings clearly to warehouse leaders, operations teams, and executives.
• Specify equipment for applications: forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, order pickers, AGVs.
• Maintain knowledge of major OEMs and equipment classes I–VII.
• Build a standardized specification library and decision tools for teams.
• Join account management on customer visits to provide credibility and support.
• Serve as go-to equipment resource for meetings and technical objections.
• Train teams on equipment fundamentals and fleet solutions positioning.
• Partner with Supplier Management on vendor programs, pricing, and trends.
• Work with Operations to compare real-world performance to specifications.
• Share insights on equipment trends, automation, and new technologies.
