Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking aDirector of Manufacturing, Operations & Supply Chain Finance to lead our operations finance team. This role partners with Manufacturing and Supply Chain leaders to optimize costs, capital investments, and performance across multiple plants.

You will manage budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting while shaping the financial strategy to scale our manufacturing capabilities for fusion energy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, with a focus on manufacturing and supply chain operations. Deep understanding of Cost Accounting mechanics.
• Proven management skills and the ability to lead, mentor and develop high-functioning finance teams.
• Experience supporting multi-site, manufacturing operations in a matrixed organization.
• Proven ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
• Ability to travel occasionally to manufacturing facilities and supply chain locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership to Manufacturing and Supply Chain leadership on cost management, capital investments, and operational efficiencies.
• Translate financial results into actionable operational decisions with proactive analysis and clear recommendations.
• Oversee multi-year budgets, cash flows, long-range plans and financial KPIs for leadership decision making.
• Lead the economics of make-vs-buy, sourcing, and vertical integration decisions.
• Develop and manage capital project business cases, ROI/NPV, and post-investment reviews.
